Cineworks Board of Directors
The Cineworks Board of Directors comprises seven members elected by the membership at large at the Annual General Meetings, and three appointed positions to bring in people with particular expertise in a given subject area (i.e. law, accounting, staff development, etc). The elected board positions are for terms of two years. The terms are staggered, with four positions being elected in even numbered years and three in odd numbered years. The board in turn elects the executive positions.
At the Annual General Meeting of July 14, 2009, the membership re-elected Jason Karman and Rob Simpson to the board, and also elected Stephen Wichuk to the board to fill the vacancy left by outgoing President Justine Bizzocchi. The board would like to thank Justine for her service as President and welcome Stephen to the board. The board will be electing the executive positions at its next meeting.
