About Our Catalogue

Cineworks Catalogues provide information on work the co-op has produced through its various production programs such as the Production Fund and the Omnibus, films that it has screened within our Exhibition program as well as an ever growing database of films and videos completed by Cineworks members.

Starting with most recently completed projects, the "Member Films" section is not only a useful resource to browse films completed by members but to also discover key creatives involved in each project.

Organized by year, the "Production Fund Films" section will allow you to see past projects supported by the Production Fund, as well as the status of the current year's recipients. The Cineworks  Production Fund is jointly sponsored by Rainmaker, The National Film Board of Canada and Cineworks.

Between 1995-1999, Cineworks produced a series of four omnibus productions all based on the same low-budget, high-concept creative challenge: assemble a group of Vancouver's best independent filmmakers, give each a single roll of film stock and bare-bones equipment, and ask them to return with a 3 minute film on a pre-determined theme. The "Omnibus" section provides details on themes and the films completed within this exciting program.

The "Exhibitions" catalogue is currently in development, but once completed will provide a wealth of information on Cineworks Curated Programs, Special Exhibitions Series and Community Outreach programs.
