Toom Toom... is a enticing and comedic tale of a Modern Indo-Canadian Family that immigrated to Canada approximately a decade ago that are caught in a cultural displacement between East and West. This move has brought about an immense change in their lifestyles, morals and values as they collectively experience and learn to embrace a new Culture with its associated pros and cons. In their attempts to break the cross-cultural barrier, members of the family must cope with differences between their homeland and their new land. Whilst certain younger members of the family ease into this transition seamlessly, the members of the elder generation struggle to digest certain perspectives, particularly from a social viewpoint. How much freedom must the parents allot to their children? What barriers and boundaries cannot be crossed? And if they are crossed, how will one administer control over such an issue?
