Re-Psycho (2009)

by Brie Koniczek

Re-Psycho is a screwball/horror comedy set in the year 2012. Vancouver is broke after the Olympics, so the city decides to cut many programs... One of them is recycling. Now that products aren't recyclable, life is meaningless to EDWARD MULCH. But one day he hatches a plan to kidnap the mayor (while killing the people that get in his way) and so, RE-PSYCHO is born. He kills people and recycles them into food, furniture, weapons, musical instruments... But someone is onto him, his name is CALLAWAY, or so we think. He's a schizophrenic man who thinks he's a real cop working on the Vancouver Re-Ripper case. CALLAWAY stumbles through old crime scenes, shakes down girl scouts, mugs hookers, and starts to piece the identity and location of the killer. In the end, the two of them meet and fight the battle of good vs. right in a showdown of THEY LIVE proportions...
