Members Control Panel
The Cineworks website uses a content managment system called ExpressionEngine. This guide will help members edit their profiles and film pages using ExpressionEngine.

Logging in to the Control Panel
Once you have been given your account information, you can log in to the Control Panel at any time by clicking on the Login link at the top right corner of the page (above the search field).

When you are logged in, the links will change to show your profile link, and a logout link.

Clicking on the Login link will bring you to the ExpressionEngine login page. Enter your account information and click the Submit button or press return on your keyboard.

Once you are logged in successfully, you will be brought to the Control Panel home screen. It shows some of the most recent entries you have made, as well as various messages. You will be most concerned with the tab bar at the top of the page - each tab represents a task you can do in the Control Panel. You can always get back to this home screen by clicking the "CP home" links at the top right, or under the menu tabs.

Modifying your Profile and Settings
To edit your profile, you will want to click on the "My Account" tab. This is where your profile will be edited, along with all your preferences for ExpressionEngine. In the left-hand menu you will find several sections for the various settings. Click on the section headers [with the '+' (plus) sign beside them] to expand the options for that section.

To edit your profile, click : Personal Settings > Edit Profile. You will be brought to a form where you can edit your personal inormation.

To change your username or password, click Personal Settings > Username and Password.

Publish Tab
Creating Pages for your films
To create a page for one of your films, move your mouse over the Publish tab, and click 'Member Films' from the menu that drops down.

You will be presented with a form where you can enter all the information about your film. There are a few tabs here: Publish Form, Date, Categories,
Options.

The Publish Form tab will show the following fields:
- Title
- Film Detail (ie. mins, format, year)
- Description of Film
- Principal Crew - names and titles of the crew for your film
- Photo of Film - Upload a photo to serve as the poster image for this film.
- Festivals - enter any festival information here
- Embed Video - Enter the html code to embed video from another source (YouTube, Vimeo, etc...)
- Film Links - Add external links to the film using the rich text editor link button
- Other Member 1-4 - Select other Cineworks member(s) who were part of making this film
To set the date your film was completed, go to the Date tab and select the date with the calendar for "Entry Date"

If you received assistance for your film under the Cineworks Production Fund, check "Production Fund" under the Categories tab.

By default, you are selected as the author of the film. This can be changed by going to the Options tab and selecting another member. Remember, you only have access to edit the films where you are selected as the author, so make sure your name is selected here unless you are entering a film for someone else.

Saving and Previewing your page
Once you have finished entering your film information, be sure to click the Submit button to save your film page. The button can be found in the green box at the right side of the editing form. Clicking Quick Save will allow you to save changes while still keeping the editing view open. Clicking Preview will give you a quick look at your film info at the top of the editing form.

Editing Your Film Pages
You can edit any of the pages that you have created for your films at any time. A list of the most recent entries will show up on your Control Panel home screen. If you do not see the film you are looking for, then click on the Edit tab to see a complete listing.

You then click on one of the titles of your film, and you will be brought to the same form that you originally created the film with.
