Membership
Whether you want to have access to gear and post-production suites or simply keep informed about the independent film community, Cineworks has a membership option for you.
Production Membership: $120.00 + gst per annum
Production Members have access to all Cineworks equipment and 24 hours access to facilities. They receive the Cineworks newsletter and e-mail list server. They have access to workshops at reduced rates, receive free or discounted tickets to Cineworks events. They qualify for the Production Fund (after 1 year) and the Film Pool and can promote themselves and their films on the Cineworks website, and are entitled to vote at members' meetings.
Production Members should be active independent filmmakers, and must support the aims and objectives of the Society. To become a Production Member, you must attend an orientation meeting, fill out an application form and submit it with a resume and complete ten hours yearly of volunteer work for the Society.
General Members: $40.00 + gst per annum
General members receive the Cineworks e-mail newsletter; have access to workshops at reduced rates; receive free or discounted tickets to Cineworks events, and have a vote at members' meetings but do not have access to Cineworks equipment at Production Member rates. Volunteer hours are encouraged but not required.
Orientation
New member orientations are held for prospective members. This orientation is the first step for those interested in accessing Cineworks production equipment and/or post-production facilities.
Orientations are currently held every second Tuesday at 5:00pm sharp and go until approximately 6:00pm. Attendance is on a drop-in basis and there is no charge to attend. The orientation consists of a brief overview of Cineworks and its programs and a tour of the facilities.
