Amy Belling

Belling graduated from UBC in 2003 with a double-major in Film Production and Theatre. Her graduating film, Why the Anderson Children Didn’t Come to Dinner, garnered her Leo nominations for Best Cinematography, Best Sound Design and Best Short Drama, as well as airing on PBS and CBC. In 2004, Belling was Producer/PM of Ling Chiu’s Once a Fish (KickStart, Citytv, BC Arts, NFB). She worked as an Associate Producer at Soapbox Productions and as PM/Cinematographer for Bravo’s documentary series On Screen!, a six-part study of seminal Canadian films which shot across North America. In 2005, Belling is Producer/PM of Michelle Porter’s The Courage to Forget and Producer/DOP of Jamie Travis’ The Saddest Boy in the World (both funded by Canada Council, NFB). Belling also worked for the Vancouver International Film Festival as the Canadian Images Coordinator (03/04) and for the Kingston Canadian Film Festival as a Programme Consultant (04/05)
