Mary Daniel
Mary J. Daniel is a long-standing member of Vancouver’s alternative film community, recently relocated to Toronto. She has a fifteen-year history of making hard to categorize works, including the feature-length film Connecting Linesand many short experimental and documentary films and videos. She is the writer of several documentaries, including a six-part series on alternative filmmaking in Western Canada, and is the producer of the award-winning Coming to Her Senses, a compilation of six films by six women on the six senses. Her work has shown at festivals worldwide, including the gay & lesbian festivals of London and Milan, the Creteil Women’s Film Festival, and the Toronto International Film Festival. Confessions of a Compulsive Archivist is a companion piece to This Time Last Year, seen at Images Festival last year.
