Peter Hebert
Peter Hebert is a web developer, independent filmmaker, videographer and graphic designer. He is a graduate of the Television Broadcasting program at Algonquin College in Ottawa, and has been involved with moving pictures and interactive media for almost 15 years. Peter’s first short film, Lucky - or Not?, was completed in 2005 and is available online. Peter has worked on several independent films and experimented with 16 mm, Super 8 mm and digital filmmaking. He is a supporter of open source technology and open and free media, and has made his films available on-line under a Creative Commons license which allows non-commercial redistribution and remixing.
Peter has been involved in the arts community for several years, as a board member of Cineworks from 2008-2010, with Ottawa's SAW Video Coop and IFCO, and both the Ottawa and Montreal Fringe Festivals. He was a founding partner in the independent music site thesetunes.com, a leading promoter of the independent music scene in Canada from 2001-2003.
Peter is currently the Web and IT manager for the Vancouver International Film Festival.
